On April 2, the Boy Scouts’ Greater New York Councils hired an openly gay Eagle Scout, Pascal Tessier, as a summer camp counselor, despite the national rules banning gay adults from the Scouts. Last year, the Scouts lifted a ban on gay youth in the organization.
